Los laminados de alta presión son materiales de revestimiento que se pegan sobre un sustrato (MDF, aglomerado, tablero de partículas, etc.). Elaborados a partir de una selección especial de papeles decorativos, papel kraft impregnado con melamina y resinas fenólicas. Las telas de polímeros sintéticos y fibras refractarias son las fibras hechas a partir de productos químicos, en ellas no intervienen directamente
derivados naturales. De estas fibras encontramos nylon, poliéster, vinil, elastano, poliuretano, tergal , acrílico, etc. Estas fibras se distinguen
fácilmente porque conservan la forma, son muy resistentes a la humedad y a la abrasión.
