La auténtica talavera sólo proviene de la ciudad de Puebla y de las localidades de Atlixco, Cholula y Tecali de Herrera, debido a que el tipo de barro y la historia de la artesanía provienen de esa región.

Está disponible en dos acabados, de célula pequeña y grande, que determinan las propiedades acústicas de los paneles. Se utiliza principalmente como material de revestimiento o superficie de decoración.
Espuma de aluminio estabilizada que proviene de una matriz de metal compuesta (aleación de aluminio cargada) con partículas de cerámica que, una vez derretido, se vierte en un molde donde un flujo de gas permite la formación de la espuma; esto se recoge en la superficie, encima del masa de metal fundido, y de aquí se elimina en la forma de sábanas. El tamaño de las celdas y la densidad de la espuma se controla variando los parámetros del flujo de gas.
