El ácido poliláctico es un es un polímero biodegradable derivado del ácido láctico. Este termoplástico tiene muchas características equivalentes, e incluso mejores, que muchos de los plásticos derivados del petróleo, lo que hace que sea eficaz para una gran variedad de usos.
