El ágata no es un mineral específico, sino un conjunto de variedades microcristalinas del cuarzo. Se encuentra en rocas volcánicas cuyo tamaño puede variar desde milímetros a varios metros. Se caracteriza por presentar una serie de bandas concéntricas de colores similares, opacos y translúcidos, que recuerdan el corte de un tronco de árbol en sentido circular. Puede adoptar diversas formas y presentarse en muchas variedades. Es una roca dura y resistente a los reactivos químicos.
La Sodalita es un Tectosilicato, pertenece al sistema de cristalización cúbico, siendo muy rara de encontrar en forma cristalizada (dodecaedros), por eso su gran valor dentro del coleccionismo. La presentación en la naturaleza de la Sodalita es en forma amorfa o masiva, generalmente con un color azul muy intenso, tono muy apreciado para joyería, aunque a veces también se puede encontrar en un color blanco transparente.
El cuarzo rosa en una variedad de cuarzo y pertenece al grupo de los óxidos, con fórmula SiO2.
Pertenece al sistema cúbico y está catalogado dentro del grupo de los sulfuros, con fórmula química FeS2. La pirita es un mineral muy común, encontrado en multitud de formaciones geológicas desde depósitos sedimentarios a vetas hidrotermales.
La amatista es una variedad macro cristalina violeta del cuarzo. El color puede ser más o menos intenso, según la cantidad de hierro (Fe+3) que contenga. Puede presentarse coloreada por zonas con cuarzo transparente o amarillo. Las puntas suelen ser más oscuras o degradarse hasta el cuarzo incoloro.
La crisocola es un mineral del grupo de los Silicatos, subgrupo Filosilicatos. Es un silicato de cobre hidratado de fórmula (Cu,Al)4H4 (OH)8 Si4O10 ·nH2O), a veces denominado "cobre silíceo".
La tetraedrita es un mineral del grupo de los sulfuros. Es un antimoniosulfuro de hierro y cobre, de color muy oscuro. La tetraedrita aparece en vetas hidrotermales, a temperaturas bajas a moderadas. También se puede encontrar en algunos depósitos de metamorfismo de contacto. Normalmente asociado a minerales de cobre, plata, plomo y zinc.
La azurita, también llamada chesilita o malaquita azul, es un mineral de cobre del grupo de los carbonatos que se forma en los depósitos de cobre expuestos a la intemperie. Posee un color azul muy característico. Frecuentemente se encuentra asociada con otros minerales de cobre, normalmente con malaquita, de color verde, y alguna vez con cuprita, de color rojo oscuro.
El oropimente es un mineral del grupo II (sulfuros) según la clasificación de Strunz. Es un trisulfuro de arsénico (As2S3), es un mineral monoclínico compuesto por arsénico y azufre. De coloración anaranjada amarillenta, se encuentra en todo el mundo, y se forma por sublimación en las fumarolas volcánicas, en fuentes hidrotermales templadas, por cambios bruscos de temperatura y como subproducto de la descomposición de otros minerales arsenicales.
La estibina, también llamada antimonita o estibinita, es un mineral del grupo II (sulfuros), según la clasificación de Strunz. Es la mena principal del antimonio, metal relativamente raro (0,2 por millón en la corteza terrestre). Existen cristales radiales alargados de estibina, o formas macizas.
La siderita es un mineral de la clase 05 de la clasificación de Strunz. Es un carbonato de hierro (II) (FeCO3), del grupo de la calcita. Es uno de los principales minerales de hierro conocido desde tiempos prehistóricos. es un mineral pesado, tiene una composición de carbonato de hierro y un ordenamiento interno hexagonal.
La bornita o erubescita es un mineral del grupo de los Sulfuros. Es un sulfuro de hierro y cobre, de color cobre manchado con iridiscencias púrpuras, por lo que se le da el apodo de pavo real mineral. aparece diseminada en rocas ígneas máficas y en materiales sedimentarios cupríferos.
